Los Angeles, CA: Reform Immigration for America Phone Operator

 

Position: Part-time/Temporary

Compensation: $12.50/hr

Start: July 13 (for 3 months)

Work Hours:  Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm

 

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA) is seeking motivated individuals to work as paid phone operators as part of the Reform Immigration for America National Campaign.  We are currently looking for responsible individuals who are interested in encouraging voters across the nation to demonstrate their support for Just and Humane Immigration Reform.  The program is run through an internet-base application which is used to patch through live calls. 

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

· Contacting identified voters over the phone and motivating them to contact their member of congress

· Informing callers on the Campaign for Immigration Reform

· Reporting on results as necessary

 

 

Requirements include:

· Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)

· Good communication and interpersonal skills over the phone

· Energy and enthusiasm about the Campaign and helping the immigrant community

· Basic Knowledge of Computer Use

 

Previous experience is a plus.  All phone operators will be required to attend a
